Rebecca is currently serving as the Executive Director of the Northwest Entrepreneur Network (NWEN), a non-profit membership organization providing entrepreneurs with the tools and connections they need to succeed. Previously, Rebecca was the Program Director for the Alliance of Angels, and over the course of three years, interviewed, coached and screened over 500 early-stage companies, identifying the best investment opportunities for her angel investor members. Before entering the wonderful world of start-ups, the first decade of Rebecca’s corporate career spanned managerial roles in an international distribution company, project management with a software company, and finally business development with an executive search firm and a local law firm. She has served as a judge in the International Venture Capital Investment Competition, and in her spare time, currently teaches a course in the UW MBA program on venture capital. Awarded her MBA from the UW in 2006, recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and awarded the McGowan scholarship, Rebecca is a newly-minted but proud Husky. A phi beta kappa, she received her BA in History from Carleton College, and has embraced geekdom as a lifestyle choice.
