Zafar Momin is a Managing Director and Head of L.E.K. Consulting’s Southeast Asia practice. Zafar has over 25 years of experience in strategy consulting, industry and academia. He has provided strategic advice to a wide range of clients on strategy, operations, marketing & sales, mergers & acquisitions and performance improvement. During his career, he has worked within several industries, including industrial goods, transportation, aviation, consumer, retail, private equity and public sectors.

Prior to joining L.E.K.’s Singapore office, Zafar held a wide range of leadership roles across various geographies, including Partner and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group and A.T. Kearney, and Executive Vice President of one of the longest established multi-billion dollar Gulf conglomerates.

Zafar also manages an investment fund and lectures at the MBA program of the Nanyang Business School. He was a board member for 8 years at Mapletree, a $4B SGX listed REIT and at the Center for Non-Profit leadership, which builds leadership capacity for non-profits in Singapore. He is also on the advisory board of two Asia-focused private equity funds.

Zafar received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He is a doctoral candidate in business at Singapore Management University.
