Xinxin Wang’s research interests are in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, venture capital, corporate finance, and industrial organization.

Professor Wang strives to understand the relationship between financial markets and real economic output in terms of entrepreneurship, innovation and development. In particular, she is interested in the changing landscape of alternative finance and the role new paradigms of funding have on entrepreneurial decision making.

She received her PhD in finance from the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in applied mathematics and a BA in economics.
