Team Registration

  • Go to www.vcic.org/wp-admin to sign on.
  • Go to posts and find a draft post for a team, click to edit:
    • Replace school name with code name; see VCIC Master Contacts for codes:
    • Double check the categories; should be “Team” and their region listed. Double check it is the correct region.
    • Check to make sure photo is there and teammates are listed.
    • Test LinkedIn URLs
    • If no observer and/or advisor, delete the reference. If neither, delete “Not pictured:”
    • Click Publish
    • Go to https://www.vcic.org/events/ and find your event to make sure the team is showing up.
  • Go to Media tab click on the team photo:
    • If all messed up, make a new one for them.
    • If greater than 100k in size, use a screen shot to capture photo and save it to your desktop.
    • Click “Upload a new file.”
    • Choose file from your desktop.
    • Keep “Just replace the files” selected.
    • Hit “Upload.”
    • Note that it can take a day for this to refresh on the website.

Organizer Entry Form

  • Go to www.vcic.org/wp-admin to sign on.
  • Go to posts
    • Find a draft post for judge, organizer or startup, click to edit.
    • Double check the categories; should be their correct region + their role (judge, organizer or startup). Double check it is the correct region.
    • Make sure both the head shot and company logo is in the gallery (find them on web if missing).
    • Test the LinkedIn URL.
    • Click “Set featured image 2”; find company logo, hit “Choose image.”
    • Click “Publish.”
  • Go to Media tab click on the head shot and logo:
    • If all messed up, search the web for a new one(s).
    • If an image is greater than 100k in size, use “snipping tool” to recapture image and save it to your desktop.
    • Click “Upload a new file.”
    • Choose the file you just saved to your desktop.
    • Keep “Just replace the files” selected.
    • Hit “Upload.”
    • Note that it can take a day for this to refresh on the website.
