VCIC Champ comes back, pitches, then raises a round of funding ending in a successful acquisition.
Sameer and his MIT Sloan team took home the gold in 2007. In 2011, Sameer returned to pitch his skin-graft technology developed by his company MoMelan. With their ground breaking technology, MoMelan went on to raise 9.5M soon after VCIC with an eventual acquisition by Kinetic Concepts, Inc. in 2012 for 22.5M.
