Rasmus Bjerngaard, Northcap

Before entering venture capital in 2009, Rasmus spent a decade working in the tech sector. From three different startups in Scandinavia and Silicon Valley he has first hand experience fundraising, scaling and internationalizing startups as part of the management team.

Notable milestone for the startups Rasmus have been part of include: Raising a €3 million seed round on a stock exchange and creating Siri before the IPhone existed; Shaking the media industry with a SW that today is part of the World’s most popular browser extension; Re-defining wireless test with a product line that is used in the manufacturing lines of World’s most known brand names, later sold for $580 million.

He has done more than 15 seed and A-round investments in telco, mobile, SaaS, and helped several startups achieve 3-digit CAGR rates as board member.

Rasmus holds a MSc in Computer Science and Electronics from the Technical University of Denmark, a Ba.Minor in Psychology from Copenhagen University and an Executive MBA from London Business School.
