Patrick Hankinson is one of three founders of Tether.com, enabling smartphone users to transfer their data to their computers. He grew it into a very profitable multimillion dollar business and eventually sold off the assets. He then founded Compilr, an online development environment to teach individuals how to write code and grew the platform to over 500,000 users, successfully selling the business to lynda.com and subsequently to LinkedIn. An active angel investor in 15 companies, he is extremely active in the startup community and currently serve on the Volta Labs Startup Bureau and previously on the board of Brilliant Labs Nova Scotia.
