A versatile thinker and problem-solver. Nitin combines international experiences in VC, startup operations and i-banking with a heart that roots for innovators in India.

Nitin started his career in tech investment banking at UBS in San Francisco. Drawn more towards building companies of value over valuing companies, he moved to NEA, where he invested in high growth companies like Millennial Media, Gilt Groupe and Videology, and supported entrepreneurs post investment, as a board observer at Suniva, OPOWER and AddThis. He also discovered a passion for education technology, meeting hundreds of “edupreneurs” and creating the case for NEA’s first investment. He then learnt a ton of lessons in the trenches as an early employee and BD lead at EverFi (now one of the largest networks in education, reaching 7 million students).

Inevitably, India beckoned, and a brief stint at InMobi convinced him of the excitement of building world-class startups here, and the fun of helping create an operations-focused platform like Lightbox. Along the way, he earned an MBA from Wharton and two degrees at USC (Go Trojans!).
