Michael Kim is the founder and Managing Partner of Cendana Capital, and Senior Advisor at Rustic Canyon Partners. Previously, Mr. Kim worked for Accelerator Venture Partners, Morgan Stanley’s Technology Mergers & Acquisitions Group, Chase Manhattan Bank, and IBM. Mr. Kim is a member of the LP Advisory Committees of IA Ventures, PivotNorth Capital, and Freestyle Capital, and served on the boards of a number of venture-backed companies and organizations such as Lead21 and the Pacific Research Institute. He is a Trustee of the Asian Art Museum Foundation, where he serves on the Investment Committee. From 2004 to 2009, he served as a Trustee of the $16 billion San Francisco Employee Retirement System, where he was the Chairman of the Investment Committee and the President of the Board. Mr. Kim received a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
