Kirk Robertson is the President of Terra Vista Capital, and the former Executive Vice
President and Interim President of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation.
Mr. Robertson has been an advisor, board and investment committee member with
Sarona Asset Management, a social impact, private equity fund manager specializing
in small and medium sized businesses in emerging markets.
He is also a board member with the Hudson Development Fund and the World Food
Logistics Organization and a member of New Dominion Angels, an early stage
technology investor group.
Terra Vista Capital is a financial consulting and business strategy firm in
Washington, DC that has advised large and small corporate and nonprofit clients in
the US, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Africa.
During the Clinton and Bush Administrations Mr. Robertson was the Executive Vice
President and the acting President of OPIC, the US government’s $18 billion
emerging market development bank that provides financing and political risk
insurance to companies and private equity funds in over 90 developing countries.
Mr. Robertson has held senior management and policy advisor appointments in the
US Senate with its leadership, committees and senators relating to trade, foreign
policy, national/ homeland security and government management. He also worked
for an international law firm where he advised clients on cross border transactions
and policy.
Mr. Robertson has served on corporate, government and non-profit boards. He is an
angel investor, member of the Bretton Woods Committee, board officer with a youth
soccer organization and a church trustee. He received his BA from Grinnell College,
his MBA from the George Washington University, and earned Series 7 and 66
qualifications for securities transactions.
