Gerry has over a decade of investment, asset management, development, capital markets and general management experience for leading corporates, business and investment trusts across Singapore, Malaysia and China.

Gerry has held senior management positions across the real estate and infrastructure industry. He is currently heading Investments at CapitaMall Trust – Singapore’s largest listed Real Estate Investment Trust (S$7 billion market capitalisation) sponsored by Asia’s leading shopping mall and real estate developer CapitaMalls Asia and CapitaLand. Prior to this, he was based in Kuala Lumpur as Head of Investment and Asset Management at CapitaMalls Malaysia Trust where he helped build a platform that currently has 5 properties and Net Lettable Area of 3 million sqft. He has recently been spearheading the portfolio reconstitution strategy in CMT including the acquisition of Bedok Mall, sale of Rivervale Mall and redevelopment of Funan DigitaLife Mall.

Gerry was also involved in major debt and capital market transactions in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia capital markets. He has led landmark capital market transactions in Asia’s two largest capital markets including the first ever listed Business Trust Rights Issue (S$235m) for CitySpring Infrastructure Trust (2009) in Singapore and the largest private convertible note (US$150m) for Golden State Environment Group Corporation (2007) in Hong Kong. Both were pioneering transactions, closed during periods of markets turmoil and brought financial stability to the issuers.

He has also managed multi billion worth of assets in real estate and infrastructure sectors during his career, leveraging on his knowledge of real assets and asset enhancements. He was also previously a subject expert presenter on concessions and Public Private Partnerships for Commonwealth Secretariat’s Annual Leadership programme.

Gerry graduated with a Masters of Business from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and is also a CFA holder. He was also a KPMG Gold Medal winner during his Bachelor of Accountancy studies in NTU.
