“Being a VCIC Fellow actually was an incredible experience for me and one of the more rewarding experiences I had during my time at UNC. It stood out for me for a few reasons. First of all, I had an interest in venture capital and entrepreneurship to begin with, so being able to get more familiar with it in a non-traditional setting was very appreciated. Also, the ability to interact with students from other schools and travel to different universities to help execute the competition is an experience that I didn’t really receive outside of one other Kenan-Flagler class (STAR). Especially as someone who ended up travelling multiple times a month for work, it was helpful to have some practice doing it in college.”
