Fred Malloy is a co-founder and Managing Director of Harken Capital. Previously, Fred was a member of the founding team at Intervale Capital, a buyout firm focused on energy companies, and recognized as the “Best New Buyout Firm” of 2008 by Buyouts magazine. Fred led the marketing of the firm’s debut $280 million fund.In addition, Fred has ten years of experience as a private equity investor. He has led buyouts as well as venture capital and mezzanine debt financings. He began his career in the Corporate Finance Department at Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. Fred has spoken on fundraising and firm building topics at the National Summit for Middle Market Funds, the Association for Corporate Growth, MIT Sloan and the Kellogg School of Management. Fred is a graduate of The Kellogg School of Management (MBA, Finance/Strategy) where he was an F.C. Austin Scholar, and of Dartmouth College (BA, History) where he was a National Merit Scholar and was inducted into Dartmouth’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Fred holds the Series 24, 63, 79 and 82 registrations.
