David has more than 25 years of experience across a range of technology and strategy roles, encompassing movie studios, chip development, consumer electronics, telecommunications, technology investment and R&D labs. David has served as VP Video Architecture at Charter Communications, VP Technology for Warner Bros, Director of Broadband Research at Vulcan, and multiple responsibilities at AMD, GE, Nortel and Bell-Northern Research. Most recently David was Founder and CTO of VRCinematic, a startup focused on Virtual Reality content production and technology in Seattle. Currently, David is CTO at Digital Cinema Labs, Adjunct Professor at SMU and Executive Director of Beacon Labs, as well as working on several other projects and mentoring local startup companies. David has a B.Sc. In Mathematics from Dalhousie University and a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from University of Toronto.
