Chris is an Associate at Escalate Capital Partners, an Austin, TX based Mezzanine Private Equity Firm, primarily focusing on high growth later stage technology companies including SaaS, tech-enabled services, internet and healthcare.
Chris received his MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas, concentrating in Private Equity Finance. While in school, he interned as an Associate in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. While at BAML, he performed a number of different valuation analyses (DCF, transaction / trading multiples, accretive / dilutive and sum of the parts) across multiple buy-side transactions in healthcare services, medical devices, healthcare IT and biotechnology.
Also while at McCombs, Chris spent a year working as a Venture Fellows Associate at Spindletop Capital, a healthcare focused Private Equity Firm. At Spindletop, Chris modeled potential “buy & build” deals through DCF and LBO models, in addition to presenting diligence on potential deals in weekly investment meetings.
Prior to Business School, Chris was a Consultant in the Strategy & Operations group at Deloitte, with 4 years of experience in M&A, strategic development, pricing & profitability analysis, inventory / supply chain optimization, and logistics & distribution.
