Boon Ping Chua, SPH Media Fund

Boon Ping was appointed CEO of SPH Media Fund in August 2014. He has more than 15 years of venture capital and M&A experience in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. He is a board member of Smaato (Germany), Chope (Singapore) and Moneysmart (Singapore).

Prior to joining SPH, he was Senior Vice President of EDBI, the corporate investment arm of Singapore’s Economic Development Board, where he headed the Internet and Digital Media investment team. Notable investments included Ooyala (acquired by Telstra) and Tremor Video (NYSE: TRMR).

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and a Master in Business Administration (Banking and Finance) from Nanyang Technological University. He is a CFA charterholder.
